Novak Djokovic recently won his seventh Wimbledon title after winning against Australian tennis star Nick Kygrios. Although the news is all the rage today, Kygrios made headlines last week for his footwear choices.

According to Wimbledon, players must wear tennis attire that is almost entirely white, which doesn’t allow cream or off-white. However, Kygrios arrived in Air Jordan 1 Lows in red (or “Cardinal” Red/Gold). When asked why he violated the rules, the 27-year-old said it’s because he does what he wants, “I just like wearing my Jordans.”
He continued that he doesn’t think he’s above the rules and would wear Jordan Triple Whites the next day. While tennis fans raged on social media, saying he should be fined, we took this opportunity to make some good old shopping recommendations.
