Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal was one of the many stars that turned out in force for a private dinner and after-party hosted by fashion brand Monot during London Frieze Week. Also in attendance was Kate Moss, Kate Hudson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Janelle Monae and Iris Law, to name just a few. Talk about a VIP guest list.

Janet Jackson in Greenwich

Janet Jackson joined a bevy of fashion-forward celebrities at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich for Alexander McQueen’s SS23 show in October. The attendees (all dressed in McQueen, naturally) included Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, Letitia Wright and Sheila Atim while the models, including Naomi Campbell, paraded through a specially erected transparent bubble wearing Sarah Burton’s latest collection inspired by Hieronymous Bosch.

Timothée Chalamet at the BFI London Film Festival

Timothée Chalamet joined a host of stars arriving in the capital this month for the BFI London Film Festival. Chalamet attended the premiere of his new film Bones And All, choosing a head-to-toe ivory Alexander McQueen look paired with an on-theme Vivienne Westwood bone necklace for the occasion.

Florence Pugh at the BFI London Film Festival

Florence Pugh was joined by the cast of The Wonder, alongside those of A Spy Among Friends and Nanny, on day three of the BFI London Film Festival. Pugh opted for a feathered Valentino Couture gown and David Morris jewellery for the premiere, while other stars appearing on the red carpet included Niamh Algar, Damian Lewis, Anna Maxwell Martin, Michelle Monaghan, Anna Diop and Nikyatu Jusu.

Lashana Lynch appeared at the BFI London Film Festival twice in October to promote her role as Miss Honey in the upcoming Matilda the Musical. Appearing alongside co-stars Emma Thompson and Alisha Weir, Lynch wore a plum-coloured Preen by Thornton Bregazzi shirt dress for the film’s press conference before switching to a glittering Ashish gown for the red carpet premiere.

Actresses Rose Leslie and Naomie Harris were the guests of honour at the SS23 show for London-based fashion house Mithridate. The pair, who were also joined by Lady Amelia Windsor, sat front row at the show at Battersea art Centre, taking in the latest collection by Central Saint Martins graduate Demon Zhang.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker at the Rosewood London

Kourtney Kardashian accompanied her husband Travis Barker on a trip to the capital in September, where he played in a tribute concert to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins at Wembley Stadium. The pair were also snapped browsing the boutiques of Soho’s Carnaby Street and chose a suite at Holborn’s luxurious five-star Rosewood hotel as the base for their trip.

Bridgerton and Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan shared this creative snap from hip Covent Garden Italian restaurant Ave Mario in early August. Joined by comedian Jack Rooke and fellow Derry Girls actresses Louisa Harland and Kathy Keira Clarke, the group dined on cocktails and cacio e pistacchio and indulged in bathroom selfies. Celebs – they’re just like the rest of us.

Gemma Chan in Notting Hill

British actress Gemma Chan shared some very chic snaps taken in and around Notting Hill for a recent Harper’s Bazaar cover shoot. Chan is promoting her new film Don’t Worry Darling and was pictured wearing Louis Vuitton while walking a dog and enjoying a pint in The Ladbroke Arms.

Alexa Chung in Westminster

Model and presented Alexa Chung chose the elegant environs of Whitehall for an impromptu fashion shoot. Pictured outside the Corinthia London hotel, Chung paired a minimalist black velvet dress with turquoise Manolo Blahnik mules, proving colour pops are a timeless style choice.

Actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw made the most of the London sunshine when she paid a visit to Soho Home’s studio in Westbourne Grove for a fashion shoot. The star donned looks from London designers, such as Huishan Zhang, alongside international houses including Gucci, Miu Miu and Valentino for the event.

Keke Palmer in Leicester Square

American actress Keke Palmer was in full movie star mode at the London premiere of Nope in Leicester Square. Palmer wore a green lace Valentino gown and Jimmy Choo shoes for the premiere, appearing alongside co-star Daniel Kaluuya and director Jordan Peele.

The stars were out in force to promote Bullet Train in July. Co-stars Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brain Tyree Henry posed in front of the London skyline on the roof of the Corinthia London hotel, with Pitt choosing a fetching Haans Nicholas Mott linen suit for the occasion and Taylor-Johnson pairing his jeans with classic Gucci horsebit loafers.

It was another star-studded affair at the South Bank for the London premiere of Netflix’s action flick The Gray Man. Regé-Jean Page showed off his style chops in a custom flared Ozwald Boateng suit while Ana de Armas shimmered in a metallic Louis Vuitton gown. Chris Evans kept things casual in a look by King & Tuckfield London while Ryan Gosling stole the show in a mismatched pastel Gucci suit and Tag Heuer Carrera watch.

Born and bred Londoner Rita Ora shared this Soho appreciation post while visiting her hometown in mid-July. Pictured on Dean Street, in the heart of the neighbourhood, this was just one of many stops for the globe-trotting star, who has also recently been spotted in Paris and Portugal.

Serena Williams at the Natural History Museum

Serena Williams may have been knocked out of Wimbledon 2022 early on but she made up for the disappointment by taking her daughter Alexis for a day out at some of London’s world-class attractions. The pair visited the Natural History Museum, as well as dropping into the Lanesborough hotel for afternoon tea, Sketch for lunch, and took a trip on the London Eye.

The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge at Wimbledon

Wimbledon regular the Duchess of Cambridge attended the tournament in her royal capacity as patron of the All England Club, presenting men’s singles winner Novak Djokovic with his trophy and greeting fans and staff. The Duchess chose a navy polka dot Alessandra Rich dress for the final day of Wimbledon, where she was joined by the Duke of Cambridge and Prince George.

David Beckham at Wimbledon

David Beckham treated his mum Sandra to a day out at Wimbledon courtesy of Ralph Lauren, a long-time sponsor and uniform designer for the tournament. Proving that matchy-matchy style isn’t just for married couples and BFFs, the mother-son team coordinated in summer perfect linen looks in tonal browns and whites.
