Hyatt is set to open a property under its Hyatt Centric lifestyle brand in downtown Austin on February 1, 2023.
The new, 31-storey Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin will be located at 721 Congress Avenue, next door to the historic Paramount and State theatres.
Design of the 246-room hotel has been led by architects Nelsen Partners, with modern boho-chic interiors by UCO Studio and an extensive art collection by local artists. Austin’s music and arts scene will be showcased in the hotel through guitar-amp nightstands, vintage concert posters and a meeting room known as the ‘Recording Lounge’.
Amenities in the 246 rooms will include Drybar hairdryers, Nespresso coffee machines, Beekind bath products and JBL Bluetooth speakers, and there will be a 24-hour fitness centre with Peloton bikes for guest use.
Dining venues led by San Antonio chef Steve McHugh will include the ground floor Luminaire restaurant and bar La Bis on the eighth floor, next to the lobby.
The third floor will feature 238 sqm of meeting and event areas, featuring floor-to-ceiling views of the city, while the 31st floor will be home to an additional 130 sqm of event space in the ‘Artist Residence’ loft-inspired penthouse.
