Dedicated to enjoying everyone’s favourite Aperitivo cocktail, Negroni Week at Grand Trunk Road will introduce three variations of the drink (traditionally made with Gin, Campari and Vermouth), with two available for £12 from September 12th – 18th 2022.

As a pioneer of high-quality Indian food in the UK, Rajesh Suri’s deep knowledge of flavour has seen his multi-award-winning eatery, Grand Trunk Road, become one of the leading fine dining experiences in London and Essex. Now, he’s bringing his classical knowledge to Negroni Week 2022.

Created with the restaurant’s beloved Mixologist, guests can enjoy the Negroni Classico, rich with an herbed, almost liquorice flavour, the Negroni Bianco, made with Maraschino Originale for a hint of dark chocolate, vanilla and orange, and the Negroni Fizzente, sweet with Cinzano and prosecco for a sharp, decadent finish.

Launched in 2016 and famed for pairing ancient dishes with traditional cooking methods, via recipes collated from the legendary trail across hundreds of years, Grand Trunk Road are bringing you up to the bar for Negroni Week 2022, as deliciously as only they can.

Following a fully booked New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day and recent inclusion into the Michelin Guide 2022, South Woodford’s Grand Trunk Road are blazing into 2022 with the arrival of their newly appointed Head Chef, Iqbal Ahamad.

From a career beginning at Mumbai’s prestigious Marriott Hotel, Chef Ahamad’s work has travelled through a collection of beautiful establishments across his twenty-year career, including New Delhi’s Hilton, Buckinghamshire’s Spice Merchant, the legendary Red Fort in Soho and Edgware Road’s Pakhtoon.

Renowned for offering a deliciously classical menu that pairs ancient recipes with traditional cooking methods, Grand Trunk Road continues to uphold its reputation for premium quality fare in elegant, warming surroundings. The multi-award-winning eatery has just launched a new brunch menu and was recently awarded as one of Harden’s Top 100 Best London and UK Restaurants in 2021.

Chef Ahamad’s vivid uniqueness will make a flavoursome match with the inimitable Grand Trunk Road menu, where dishes include North Sea monkfish fillet, rubbed with a blend of ground spices & lemon, Double lamb chops marinated in fennel, star anise, raw papaya & crushed spices and Lobster cooked with black peppercorn, citrus, garlic & tomato masala.
