“With a celebrated history of innovation and excellence, our collaboration with Prince references their early impact on the pro tour—in an era that introduced one of the greatest player’s racquets of all time, utilized by grand slam champions throughout the mid-80s and 90s,” reads a description available on the Canadian athleisure and streetwear brand’s website.

This 10-piece capsule is made up of apparel and accessories produced by the brand, with limited edition hard goods by Prince Sports. The latter includes the Original Graphite 107 Racquet by the tennis brand.

Based in Vancouver, Reigning Champ was founded in 2007 by Craig Atkinson. Its focus lies in more casual pieces, from caps, shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and tank tops made in heavyweight fleece and merino wall. The brand is sold at 130 retailers worldwide.

On the other hand, Prince Sports has been around since the 1970s and is one of the most enduring names in tennis. While it filed for a bankruptcy in the 2010s, it has since recovered and moved its base from New Jersey to Atlanta, Georgia.

An accompanying campaign was shot at Washington Market Park in Tribeca, New York, the concept is described as an antithesis of country club tennis. Former collegiate athletes Vicente Muñoz and James Powers are the faces of the shoot.
