About the Cartier Women’s Initiative

Founded in 2006, the Cartier Women’s Initiative is an annual international entrepreneurial program aiming to drive change by empowering women impact entrepreneurs. The program is open to women-run and women-owned businesses from all countries and sectors, that aim to have a strong sustainable social or environmental impact.

By shining light on women impact entrepreneurs, the program provides them with the necessary financial, social and human capital support to grow their business and build leadership skills. Its vision is a world in which every woman impact entrepreneur driving social and environmental change can achieve her full potential.

Four Program Pillars

Now in its 16th year, the Cartier Women’s Initiative has a community of 262 fellows in 62 countries, with over $6m US in grants. The program is based on four complementary pillars. First, the awards recognise and fund talented women impact entrepreneurs leveraging business as a force for good. Secondly, the fellowship, providing peer, industry, and academic based educational programming with partner INSEAD for skills and leadership development and business growth. Third is the community: fellows have lifelong access to a vibrant group of impact leaders, creating opportunities for engagement, networking, and development of social capital. Finally, thought leadership to drive an active conversation about women entrepreneurs through content curation and research partnerships.
