DAY ONE
We landed at Incheon airport and made our way to the Mondrian Seoul Itaewon where we would spend the next three nights. Once we arrived at the hotel, we checked in with ease, and the hotel staff were warm and friendly. Our room was cute and cozy with a comfortable atmosphere and all the modern amenities we would need for our stay.
After settling in, we decided to check out the Rumpus Room, Mondrian’s lounge bar. During the day, the room had fabulous natural light and was a great place to take photos for Instagram. We took advantage of the opportunity and snapped a few shots.
For lunch, we headed to Cleo, the hotel’s signature Mediterranean restaurant. We were excited to try the dishes recommended by the server. We started with the Fried Eggplant, which was deliciously crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The clam chowder was creamy and flavourful, while the beef kebab was tender and juicy. The truffle fries were a standout dish, with the perfect balance of saltiness and truffle flavour. We enjoyed every bite and would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone visiting the hotel.
After lunch, we decided to explore the neighbourhood for coffee. We enjoyed our coffee as we walked around the area, taking in the sights and sounds of Seoul. For dinner, we headed to the hotel’s basement, which was filled with various shops and restaurants. We decided to try the lobster rolls, which were packed with flavour. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and ended the night on a satisfied note.
DAY TWO
We started the day by taking photos at Blindspot, a beautifully designed bar in the hotel lobby. The lighting and decor were impressive, and we couldn’t resist capturing the moment on camera. After our impromptu photoshoot, we headed to a nearby restaurant called Chadelpoong for KBBQ. The meat was perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection, and we enjoyed every bite. We decided to head to the next spot and indulge in some sweet treats at Margaret Cafe, which had a cozy atmosphere and an impressive selection of desserts. Seoul is packed with the cutest cafes and dessert shops!
In the evening, we decided to check out the Privilege Bar back at the hotel, which was known for its expansive cocktail selection. We were not disappointed. The drinks were expertly crafted and had the perfect balance of sweetness and alcohol. The mini burgers were a perfect bite-sized snack that complemented the drinks. We enjoyed the ambience of the bar and stayed until closing time.
DAY THREE
We started the day by going back to Cleo and reordering our favourites from day one. The dishes were just as good as we remembered, and we left the restaurant feeling satisfied.
We then headed to Hotel Naru Seoul by MGallery for afternoon tea. We were blown away by the stunning views from the pool deck. The tea selection was impressive, and the desserts were beautifully presented. The experience was worth the trip, and we would highly recommend it.
After tea, we visited the Dior Pop-Up, which was a temporary store showcasing the brand’s latest collection. We browsed through the clothing and accessories and admired the store’s elegant decor. For our final dinner in Seoul we decided to try a Japanese restaurant near the Dior Pop-Up, and then we capped our evening off by checking out Seoul’s beautiful Christmas installations. All-in-all, we had an amazing three-day trip and can’t wait to visit again!
