It’s half-term, and for Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews, that means only one thing: time for a luxurious family get-away to a Caribbean island, of course.

In December 2019 they holidayed on the beautiful island of St Barts, with crystal clear sea and immaculate caster-sugar sand; and it was their island of choice again this year. It helps that James’s parents, David and Jane Matthews, moved to St Barts in 1995 after purchasing Eden Rock from Rémy de Haenen, a French artist born in Martinique – so Matthews knows the island only too well. Eden Rock is one of the most exclusive resorts on the island, a luxury 5-star hotel in St Jean Bay and a place visited by the likes of Greta Garbo, Princess Lee Radziwill and Baron Rothschild.

According to the Daily Mail, the young family have been enjoying an action-packed holiday there. In recently taken photographs, Pippa, mum-of-three, donned a white, asymmetrical swimming costume with a ruffle across her chest.

With her hair tied back, and a pair of chic sunglasses, she held the hand of one of her children, and was seen having fun in the sea. Her husband, James, was pictured playing with their children on the beach – jumping into the bright blue ocean and holding his son’s hand in a pair of blue swimming trunks.

Pippa currently has three children: Arthur Michael William, who was born in October 2018, and Grace Elizabeth Jane, born in March 2021, who is nearly 2 years old. Their youngest child, Rose, was born in June 2022.

Pippa, who won a sports scholarship at Marlborough college, recently told fitness brand Hoka One that her busy lifestyle as a mum keeps her slim. ‘Over the past two years, family life and motherhood has consumed much of my spare time and unsurprisingly the challenges I thrived on have taken a back seat,’ she said.

‘Being active with my son in the park or playground, transporting him on the back of my bike, and buggy running when he was a baby have been ways in which I have been able to include outdoor exercise whilst being a hands-on mummy. It’s helped manage my weight, is time efficient and gives us both the chance to enjoy the fresh air and explore the great outdoors.’
