Wowee, Succession fans, listen up. In true “Roy” fashion, HBO has just dropped the official (and final) trailer for Succession Season 4, which has now been confirmed as the final season of the award-winning hit show.

And judging by the explosive trailer, Logan Roy is out for blood.

“I’m going to build something bigger. Wilder. Faster,” Logan Roy says in the HBO trailer. “I wanna kill the opposition. Cut their throats! We are pirates.”

While viewers are well aware of how Succession Season 3 ended — Logan Roy, once again, decimated his children in a cunning play of betrayal that lays bare to how Logan Roy always wins — what the new trailer offers is a glimpse into the (final) battle ahead for the Roy kids and their respective (or collective?) quest to become their father’s successor.

Here’s the official synopsis for Succession Season 4: “The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is complete. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”

The trailer is a revelation on all accounts: we gain a glimpse at how Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkin) and Shiv (Sarah Snook) are planning to sabotage their father (welcome back, Stewy and Sandi). Shiv and Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) finally have it out after Tom (dramatically) back-stabbed Shiv at the conclusion of Season 3. And there’s even the hint that Roman has won back the interest of tech mogul Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård).

Of course, let’s not forget Connor Roy (Alan Ruck), who also makes his return as he prepares for his presidential bid against Jeryd Mencken (Justin Kirk) — is this the season we stop underestimating Connor?

Succession is created by Jesse Armstrong, who also serves as the series’ executive producer, along with Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Jane Tranter, Mark Mylod, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, Jon Brown, Lucy Prebble, Will Tracy and Will Ferrell. Armstrong serves as showrunner.

Succession Season 4 consists of 10 episodes and will released on March 26. You can watch the full trailer below.
