Both restaurants made double-digit jumps in the 2022 rankings.
For the second straight year, Antonio’s and Gallery by Chele has made it to Asia’s Best’s 51-100 list, with both restaurant’s ranking higher in 2022.

Last year, Tony Boy Escalante’s Tagaytay restaurant ranked 84th, but climbed 10 places to 74 in the 2022 rankings. Meanwhile, having been ranked 90th in 2021, Chele Gonzalez’s BGC space jumped 21 spots to be tied with the Gurugram, India-based restaurant Comorin at 69th.
This is the second year that Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant has released its 51 to 100 list ahead of its 10th annual awards ceremony next week.
The list welcomes 25 new entries in 2022, which includes restaurants from 12 countries and territories.
Greater China maintains a strong presence on the list. Hong Kong claims 10 places, including six new entries, while Mainland China scores six restaurants, Taiwan counts five, and Macau boasts three.
Rising an impressive 38 places to No.51, Jin Sha in Hangzhou, China, edges the closest to the coveted top 50 list.
Eat and Cook in Kuala Lumpur, the 2022 recipient of the American Express One To Watch Award, enters the list at number 81. On the other hand, Adachi Sushi in Taipei, which debuts at 52, is this year’s highest new entry
India is represented by seven restaurants, including the aforementioned Comorin, along with re-entries from Karavalli (59th) and Dum Pukht in New Delhi (73rd)
Singapore claims five places on the list while Thailand counts four restaurants, including first-time entries Pru (61st) and Lerdtip Wanghin (87th).
Among the 25 new entries on this year’s list, six are from Hong Kong. Japanese restaurant Godenya claims the highest ranking among Hong Kong’s newcomers at 64th followed by Xin Rong Ji (77th), French eateries Bâtard (82nd) and L’Envol (88th) as well as Chaat (96th) and Sushi Hare (98th).
Mainland China continues to grow in prominence with five new entries. Shanghai counts three newcomers, namely Obscura (76th), Maison Lameloise (95th) and 8 1⁄2 Otto e Mezzo Bombana (100th) while Beijing has two in Refer (67th) and Xin Rong Ji (68th). In Macau, veteran chef Liu Guo Zhu is honoured with Golden Flower claiming the 84th spot.
Several well-established restaurants make their debut on this year’s list. Singapore’s ever-popular Lolla earns a 75th ranking, while in India, longtime favorites Americano (No.80) and The Table (85th) are all first-time entries. Cambodia makes a welcome return to the list with fine-dining institution Topaz landing at 90th.
“This year’s 51-100 list features 25 new entries and turns the spotlight on the region’s emerging talent,” William Drew, director of content at Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, says. “We’re thrilled to share this list to showcase the breadth and diversity of Asia’s gastronomic scene as well as new culinary trends.”
The 2022 list of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants will be revealed via an online awards ceremony telecast globally on Tuesday, March 39 from 5pm HK/SG (6pm JPN) via Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Facebook and the 50 Best Restaurants TV YouTube channel.
