There are so many shades of gray to choose from—famously, at least 50—yet none of them appeared on the famous men who attended the premiere of a movie literally called The Gray Man.

Based on the first book in author Mark Greaney’s best-selling spy-versus-spy series, The Gray Man’s titular hero should—as the title suggests—be adept at blending in, as is in any good spy’s best interest. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Gosling’s protagonist in the new Russo brothers movie actually “wears attention-grabbing clothes and attracts the kind of mayhem that shuts entire cities down,” which perhaps does give some context to the seafoam-salad-hued suit he wore to the Los Angeles premiere on Wednesday night. (That, and he’s still sporting the deep-bronze tan and bleached hair for the role he’s currently filming: Ken in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Barbie.) Either way, the name of the film offers a built-in dress code, and you’d expect at least one of the famous guys at the premiere to have taken the bait. Alas!
