With their Parisian jaunt over, it was on to Venice for the pair, who arrived in style on the Orient Express. They were joined in the Italian city by family members including Victoria’s parents, Anthony and Jackie Adams, and her brother, Christian, according to the MailOnline. Victoria donned a sweeping, green patterned gown, while David was dressed in various shades of brown. The pair were photographed travelling around Venice via water taxi, taking in the scenic view from the city’s famous canals.
On the day itself, 4 July, the couple shared emotional messages to each other on social media. Alongside a photo of the pair beaming together, Victoria wrote: ‘They say he isn’t funny, they say I never smile, they said it wouldn’t last 😂 Today we celebrate 23 years being married. David you are my everything, I love you so much!!!! 💕’.
Her husband responded with a video clip of the couple in a 90s TV skit with Sacha Baron Cohen as Ali G, in which Cohen asks if David was ‘into the Spice Girls’ before they met. ‘No, but I was into Posh,’ he replies, to the delight of the live audience. The football legend added in his caption: ‘23 years ago today Posh became Mrs Beckham, but she will always be Posh ❤️ Happy Anniversary WOW 23 years & 4 beautiful kiddies ❤️❤️❤️❤️’.
The couple’s eldest son, Brooklyn, recently tied the knot himself – now husband to Tatler’s August cover star, Nicola Peltz Beckham.
