High glamour was the order of the day as former Tatler cover stars the Marchioness of Bath, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer joined the ever elegant Naomi Campbell to toast the grand opening of Bacchanalia, the new hotspot from Richard Caring, in London last night.

Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza, who turned heads at Tatler’s Little Black Book party earlier this month, were sleek in coordinated black ensembles, while Campbell tapped into one of the season’s biggest trends with her plunging column gown with cut-out detailing. She mingled with Caring and his wife, Patricia, while Lennon Gallagher (son of Liam) channelled his father in a rock-chic ensemble as he posed up a storm with model girlfriend Isobel Richmond.

As its name suggests, the restaurant, situated in the heart of Mayfair, takes inspiration from the muses of old and promises patrons ‘abundant pleasure’, with the influence is felt at every turn: from the sumptuous decor and joyfully indulgent atmosphere to the menu, which draws on the concept of Greco-Roman feasting.

A taste of things to come was showcased at the glittering party, with canapés including oyster and spicy mignonette, seabream with green apple and caviar, and mini tart crab salad served with champagne and delectable concoctions from the cocktail menu. Florence Welch lit up the crowd with room-shaking renditions of Sweet Nothings and her mega hit Dog Days Are Over, while DJ Valeron and Who Made Who were on the decks.
