With the annual Watches & Wonders convention in Geneva fast approaching, the planet’s most respected watch brands are vying for attention. Ahead of the big event, Audemars Piguet has added a slew of new watches to its flagship Royal Oak collection.
Never one to do things quietly, the revered Swiss watch manufacturer certainly hasn’t held back. 18-carat gold? Precious turquoise? Baguette-cut diamonds? The new collection has something for even the most discerning collector. Here, we take a look at some of our favorites.

Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin with Blue Dial
First up is a fresh limited-edition version of Audemars Piguet’s ‘Jumbo’ extra-thin model (pictured above) featuring a dark blue-grained dial inspired by a 1992 model created to mark the 20th anniversary of the Royal Oak collection.
Finished with a translucent coating to give it a brighter finish, the dial contrasts beautifully with the white gold hour markers, case and bracelet.
Available exclusively in Audemars Piguet’s boutiques, the 39mm timepiece is powered by the latest ultra-thin 7121 movement introduced last January and wound by an 18-carat pink gold oscillating weight.

Royal Oak 38mm Selfwinding with Onyx and Baguette Cut Diamonds
If you’re looking for something seriously opulent, keep an eye out for two new versions of Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak 38mm Selfwinding Chronograph. Pick between 18-carat white gold or pink gold, with individually polished baguette-cut diamonds decorating the bezel and hour markers.
Both models feature a sleek black onyx dial and chronograph counters framed by rings of gold. Count us in.
Royal Oak 37mm Selfwinding with Yellow Gold and Natural Turquoise
Next up is this striking 37mm Royal Oak selfwinding model crafted entirely from 18-carat yellow gold with a dazzling turquoise dial.
The precious stone has a naturally varying composition, texture and color which means every dial is completely unique. After being cut to form a slender disk, the turquoise is ground, sandblasted and and polished before being fitted into the gilded brass outer casing. You’ll be sure to turn heads with this on your wrist.
Royal Oak 43mm Offshore Selfwinding with Black Ceramic and Yellow Gold
Audemars Piguet has released a new version of its 43mm Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chorograph crafted in black ceramic. 18-carat yellow gold accents on the dial, push-piece guards, studs and buckle create a striking two-tone contrast, while the sapphire crystal caseback reveals the 4401 chronograph movement ticking inside. Featuring a flyback function, the chronograph can be started, stopped and reset by the wearer in one action.
Royal Oak 42mm Selfwinding with Black Ceramic
The Swiss manufacturer also released a new version of its 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph in a black ceramic case, with a matching black bracelet and dial for a stylish monochrome look. White gold screws attaching the bezel to the case and luminescent hour markers offer a striking contrast.
Every component is pre-polished and pre-satin finished, with lines and angles carefully finished by hand. As the first ever Royal Oak Offshore to be made with a case and bracelet made entirely of ceramic, the new model is bound to pique collectors’ interest.
Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon in Black and Green
Then there’s the new black ceramic version of the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph with a green anodized inner bezel and red chronograph hands.
Just 100 pieces of the limited-edition model have been released so you’ll have to move fast if you want to get your hands on this sporty new watch.
The timepiece features a matching green rubber strap (which can easily be swapped out for a second black rubber version) and a 526-part flyback chronograph movement regulated by a flying tourbillon.
Selfwinding Split-seconds Flyback Chronograph
Finally, Audemars Piguet has continued to evolve its Royal Oak concept by releasing its first selfwinding split-seconds flyback chronograph.
As well as introducing a new 43mm case size, the Swiss watch manufacturer has added a 3D titanium case and an innovative new movement – the selfwinding Calibre 4407.
