Put down your shopping bags and partake in a little culinary indulgence at 28°-50°  Chelsea, situated in the middle of King’s Road, London.

The location is perfect for a little retail therapy being situated on King’s Road and it exudes a relaxed atmosphere and combined with excellent service, as in all of their dining establishments, it is a superb restaurant offering French and modern cuisine from the a La Carte menu that is overseen by Executive Chef, Julien Baris.

28°-50° is an ever-evolving brand, growing exponentially, there are now five venues in London and I have a feeling they’re not done yet! It is the perfect dining experience, and I mustn’t forget to mention those skilled Sommeliers, on hand to advise with the wine pairing, the extensive wine list has been hand-picked by these experts. Coupled with the fine and always fresh food that includes light bites, an impressive charcuterie and cheese selection, seafood, vegetarian dishes and a great grill section, you are guaranteed to have the most delightful meal.

We began our 28°-50° dining experience with a cocktail at the bar on gorgeous pink velvet bar stools while we checked out the menu. The dining room is bright and airy and features a Victorian aura with the classic 28°-50° signature trademarks of oak and marble tables, dark velvets and a wine crate display.

After a cocktail or two and some time to soak up the vibes we ordered our starters, I can never resist oysters and I had half a dozen of them, they were fresh and flavoursome, and I couldn’t get enough of the clean, fresh flavours. My husband decided on the tiger prawns served with aoli, they were succulent with a depth of flavours and quality, they were ever so slightly spicy. For our main course, we both chose the famous 28°-50° Cheeseburger, served with iceberg lettuce, pickles, smoked bacon, garlic mayo and steaming hot crispy fries. The burger was probably one of the tastiest we’ve ever had and the presentation was great. We washed these luscious dishes down with a fabulous bottle of bubbles, perfect for a Saturday lunchtime treat. Our clean plates spoke volumes!

We very nearly decided to opt out of dessert until we were tempted into looking at the menu, it was tough to choose, but we shared a lemon posset and coffee crème brûlée. and with a coffee to finish we were well and truly sated, it was a spectacular dining experience.

We love 28°-50°, the team in each venue is without a doubt hand-picked, they are knowledgable with regard to both the wine and food, and the service is always impeccable.

We watch 28°-50° as a brand with interest and wonder where they will appear next!
