Dubai-headquartered hospitality brand, Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts, has announced the seasonal reopening of its hotels in Mallorca and Capri.
The Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel and Spa will reopen on March 28 and is available for bookings until October 31, 2023. This year, the clifftop retreat has newly renovated several of its Junior suites, and remodelled its Sunset Lounge too – the latter of which serves Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. One of the other popular F&B outlets at the property is the seafood restaurant of Cap Roig Brasserie. The property is also reportedly working with local truffle farmers for the hotel’s signature dishes curated by executive chef Javier López.
In its bid to work with local artists, the Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel and Spa is also once again collaborating with local artist Lolo Garner to create two bespoke lobby sculptures. Additionally, the hotel’s art offerings will also showcase a collection of paintings by Dutch artist Carla Raads. The hotel’s Talise Spa includes ten treatment rooms, plus a thermal area including a sauna and Hammam suite.
The group’s Capri Palace Jumeirah property meanwhile will reopen on April 27 and will be available for bookings until October 16, 2023.
Located on the island of Capri, the hotel can arrange for private transfers by speedboat or helicopter from Naples or Sorrento. The property boasts of traditional palazzo architecture and contemporary spaces, with its interiors framed by arches, vaults and columns. Its art-inspired suites include pieces from the likes of Mirò, Magritte and Warhol.
The White Museum features the hotel’s private collection of contemporary works dispersed throughout the hotel, including pieces by De Chirico, Keith Haring, and Pomodoro, among others.
Jumeirah’s Capri hotel has the only two Michelin Starred restaurant on the island, L’Olivo and Il Riccio Restaurant and Beach Club. Its wellness wellness offerings include patented therapies at Capri Medical Spa, and the hotel has also partnered with Balance Holidays for a special wellness retreat that it will conduct from May 22-29.
Elsewhere in Europe, last month, the Jumeirah Group confirmed that it had acquired the iconic Le Richemond hotel on the banks of Lake Geneva. The property has been closed since mid-2020 due to the downturn caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, but will now reopen as an “ultra luxury hotel”, following renovation works which are planned to complete in 2025.
