During their single years the young royals were often seen outside the doors of Mahiki ducking into taxis after a night of partying. It was also rumourded that Princess Eugenie introduced Harry to his ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas in 2012. Accoring to the authors of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s memoir, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, ‘like Harry, Eugenie is loyal, honest and great fun’.
Last July, it was reportedly Princess Eugenie who Harry chose to quarantine with, when he returned to London to unveil the statue of his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales, at Kensington Palace with the Duke of Cambridge. Harry also visited Eugenie and her husband at Frogmore Cottage after he flew to England for his grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral last April. The Windsor residence was the home he previously shared with Meghan following their marriage in May 2018.
It was speculated however, that Eugenie experienced a period of upset with Harry following her wedding in 2018. It was during the event that Harry and Meghan chose to tell family members the news of Meghan’s first pregnancy shortly after their own wedding in May. According to Harry and Meghan’s biography, Eugenie was hurt by the fact that the couple had chosen her wedding celebrations to share their news, which she felt distracted from her union with Jack.
