To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the auction house RM Sotheby’s has put up for auctioning the famous F1-2000 driven by Michael Schumacher during the Grands Prix of Brazil, Monaco and Spain.
A historic single-seater
Of all the Ferrari cars that Schumacher drove during his career, the F1-2000 is undeniably one of the most famous. In 2000, Schumacher won his first world championship in a Ferrari. That same year, Ferrari also won the constructors’ championship. The victory of the year 2000 marks the beginning of 4 other consecutive victories in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 for Schumacher and Ferrari.
The Formula 1 car, F1-2000 chassis no. 198, has certainly contributed to the history of Scuderia Ferrari and Formula 1.
A F1 you can race with on mythical circuits
The F1-2000 has received the “Ferrari classiche certified” a proof of authenticity offered by a specialised department at Ferrari, reserved for certain road cars and Ferrari F1.
The F1-2000 is also eligible for the “Corse clienti” program. A program set up by Ferrari in which Ferrari’s customers have the opportunity to drive their single-seater on circuits during very exclusive races. Thus allowing its future owner to live a Grand Prix in more than authentic conditions.
Make the F1-2000 yours right now
The auction is taking place right now, until April 12th. For more information and in order to participate to this exceptional sale, please visit the RM Sotheby’s website.
