With decidedly more cheery weather forecast to see in the new season, it’s time to update your wardrobe with the perfect sun dress. Whether meandering through London’s great parks or attending a garden soirée, a fabulous frock is a must as temperatures, and hemlines, begin to rise.

While The Devil Wears Prada‘s Miranda Priestley may have been turned off by the notion of floral dresses for spring, there’s no denying their captivating allure in sunny weather. Zimmermann’s pastels are a candy coloured confection, Saint Laurent evokes a nostalgic feel with punchy prints and Dolce & Gabbana’s zesty yellow roses provide a much-welcomed dose of Italian elegance.

For the flora-phobic, gingham is the go-to grid for spring. Imbuing a retro charm, the check was a keen favourite of Diana, Princess of Wales and has seen a rousing resurgence on the runways in recent seasons. Sleeper’s baby blue offering is picnic-chic while Pink City Prints add a Cottagecore whimsy to pretty pinafores.

Embrace easy-chic with these perfectly pretty designs.
