Aire Ancient Baths includes a circuit of candle lit pools of different temperatures, as well as a massage area, relaxation area, a steam room, spa pools with jets and even an ancient bath where you can bath in wine, writes Andrew Forbes (The Luxury Editor).
The experts at Aire are able to curate experiences that reflect your preferences and the occasion. The place is quite extraordinary, found in a magnificent Mudéjar-style palace that embraces more than 5 centuries of history.
We chose to enjoy the thermal baths circuit, a 30 minute massage following by a romantic time of relaxation in the heated pool on the rooftop, enjoying cava and chocolates, whilst taking in the spectacular view of the La Giralda, Seville’s iconic cathedral bell tower that’s so evocative of Al Andalus and Southern Spain’s past.
This is a truly original and remarkable spa experience. The setting is magical, the style relaxed, calming, and unpretentious.
One of my favourite experiences was the underground saltwater pool, where you can float unaided – it’s just the most amazing feeling!
For something truly original there is an ancient marble bath where you and your partner can soak in a bath of ‘wine,’ whilst enjoying a glass of wine and a selection of cheese – in a private, candle lit room. How romantic is that?
