Overlooking Cadogan Gardens, 14 suites occupy two revamped Georgian townhouses on Sloane Street bursting with contemporary art, antiques and opulent textiles. A cosy library with pineapple-print wallpaper and London-centric books replaces a formal reception area. The Japanese restaurant – The Fuji Grill – is sensational (try the Wagyu sushi). Minibars are stocked with guests’ preferred treats and staff preempt their residents’ desires, appearing with a signature Spitfire Collins at cocktail hour and a green juice the morning after. There’s no spa, but in-room massage and beauty treatments can be arranged. Thanks to a partnership with Cadogan Estates, whose stewardship of 93 acres of Chelsea and Kensington has spanned more than three centuries, guests can access the very best of the local area – be it a personalised shopping trip to the nearby Chanel, Dior and Bulgari boutiques, tickets for the Royal Court Theatre, tennis in the private gardens opposite, or a fitness class at KXU gym.
