The Bulgari Hotel Tokyo represents the fusion between Italian lifestyle with Japanese modernity.

Bulgari Hotel Tokyo

A new star of unparalleled luxury has made its official debut in Tokyo, the Bulgari Hotel Tokyo is the Italian jeweller’s first outpost in Japan and Bulgari’s 8th opening in the world to join its Bulgari Hotels & Resorts Collection. The hotel occupies the 40th to 45th floor of the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, an ultra-skyscraper that overlooks the Imperial Palace Gardens while also offering stunning views of the country’s iconic Mount Fuji.

Located in a prime location, the Bulgari Hotel Tokyo is just a walking distance from Tokyo Station and the financial districts of Nihombashi and Marunouchi, as well as the city’s most renowned shopping and dining destination, Ginza.

As with all of the “gems” from the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts Collection, the Bulgari Hotel Tokyo was designed by Italian architecture and interior design studio Acpv Architects. From the hotel lobby to its reception area on the 40th floor and all 98 rooms and suites, the sophisticated Italian style is interpreted from the lens of Bulgari. The result of this is a showing of Bulgari’s core values of contemporary design, magnificent craftsmanship and artistic detail that manifest in an array of efficient living spaces. All of the interiors have been conceptualised with the same meticulous attention to detail and accuracy as a Bulgari diamond, reinforcing all of the distinctive codes of the establishments founded by Rome-based jewellery maison.

Out of the close to hundred rooms and suites, the Bulgari suite definitely deserves a mention as it is one of the largest in Tokyo and grants a panoramic view of the city. Featuring more than 400 square metres of area and furnished with luxurious brands like Maxalto, Flexform and B&B Italia, this suite also has touches of Japanese tradition and cutting-edge technology. There are four different sitting areas, a private office and a dining room that can fit 10 people, a private bar corner and a private gym with Technogym equipment. Another noteworthy arrangement is that if the guest wishes for an even larger space, the suite can easily be connected to the other suites next door, which is perfect for hosting large families.

Apart from the luxuriant staying options, the Bulgari Hotel Tokyo also offers world-class dining choices. Those looking to indulge in Japanese cuisine can book a seat at Sushi Hoseki. The restaurant is curated by chef Kenji Gyoten, a three-star Michelin star extraordinaire. Expect a memorable gastronomic experience in an Omakase style with the finest ingredients sourced across Japan. There are only seats available for this exclusive treat so it is highly encouraged to book a slot beforehand.

Guests can further enhance their Italian experience with a trip to Il Ristorante — Niko Romito, curated by three-Michelin-star chef Niko Romito. It will feature a carefully designed menu of Italian classics while overlooking the city lights. Also found on the same level is the Bulgari Dolci boutique and it serves both desserts and a selection of traditional Italian pastries by Romito.

Also, guests will find the hotel bar on the 45th story, where a terrace offers views of Mount Fuji, while on the 40th floor, there are two dramatic ballrooms and a luxurious 110-metre terrace room. A 1000 square meter Bulgari spa with nine treatment rooms, a 25-meter indoor pool, and a cutting-edge fitness center is available for guests.

Bulgari Group CEO, Jean-Christophe Babin, enthused: “We are proud to add a new gem to the crown of the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection with the opening of Bulgari Hotel Tokyo in Japan, a market that has been a strategic market for us for over 30 years. Jewellery and hospitality combine perfectly to meet Bulgari’s clients’ expectations of a high level of service not only in our brand stores, but also when staying in our extraordinary properties, and provides us the opportunity to share the Italian luxury experience, design and creativity in an environment which reflects the Bulgari spirit.”
