She would like to be excused from this narrative.

Vivian Jenna Wilson has filed a petition in the Los Angeles County Superior Court to legally change her surname from Musk.

Aside from gender identity, Wilson cited “the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”

Wilson, who is in the midst of transitioning, no longer wishes to be identified as Xavier. She also wants to instead adopt the last name of her mother, Justine, who announced her divorce from Musk in 2008.

Although the news follows the recent observation of Father’s Day, court documents show that Wilson had filed the request back on April 18—just a day after turning 18.

Wilson and her twin, Griffin, are the eldest of Musk’s seven living children.

The chief executive officer of SpaceX and Tesla previously criticized the use of preferred gender pronouns.

In 2020, Musk tweeted that “Pronouns suck” and “I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare.”

On both instances, his comments received backlash from social media users who said Musk had gender-related issues.

Wow just like dodge in the 90s you’re having trans issues

Pretty disgusting to see from you. What’s so hard about calling someone a pronoun? It literally does absolutely nothing to you to call them it and it’s what they like to be referred as so why not just do it? I genuinely don’t understand why you people don’t like them.

“I absolutely support trans, except when I don’t”. Okay nice work there genius

Someone I respect taught me that putting pronouns in my bio was a way to make social media a more inclusive place for trans people so I did it. It’s a small thing and if it helps trans people I feel good about it.

„i absolutely support trans, but only as long as they don‘t cause me even the mildest inconvenience such as reminding me that they exist“
