The conversion of such a large quantity of solid gold proved an arduous task for the criminals, and forced them to seek assistance from some of London’s most notorious underground figures, one of which went by the name of ‘The Fox’. Trials, sentencing and (in some cases) death ensued for the perpetrators and a puzzling maze of criminal investigation was created for the Metropolitan Police.

With the solid foundations of an exciting plot and accomplished cast, The Gold, which will begin filming imminently, is expected to fetch a large audience.

The long-awaited release of Downton Abbey: A New Era, has been pushed back not once, but twice, and is now due to finally hit screens on 29 April, with many of the cast of the first film returning for the sequel.
