Zara McDermott appeared in a 10 minute workout with Missguided, which has been slammed by some fans who deemed it “dangerous”.
Showing off their recent clothing edit with the reality star, Missguided uploaded a video of Zara doing a HIIT workout for all of their seven million followers to see on their Instagram.
“10 minute HIIT workout at home with @zara_mcdermott,” the online retailer captioned the upload alongside a lightning bolt emoji.

Positioned on a purple gym mat, Zara, 21, showed off her deep tan in a matching baby blue co-ord from her latest Missguided collection.
“Hey everyone,” she said to the camera. “It’s Zara and today we’re going to be doing a ten minute quick HIIT workout in one of my Missguided edit outfits.”
The star, who rose to fame in 2018 on ITV’s hit dating show Love Island, proceeded to do six different HIIT exercises including leg crunches, leg lifts and lunges.
However, at the top of the comments on the fitness video, one follower expressed their concerns and put blame on Missguided for sharing “harmful” content.
“This is actually not helpful for anyone and could be harmful to those looking to safely and effectively do an at home HIIT workout,” said the fitness instructor. “I encourage people watching this to find insta workouts with qualified fitness instructors or PTs who can coach you through the correct and safe movements for the best workout without injury.”
“Missguided do clothes, not fitness thats very clear here,” they added alongside two confused emoji signs.
Another fan questioned how experienced Zara was at exercising.
“Why does it look like it’s the first time doing it for her?” asked the follower. “Not only the technique is obviously incorrect but she is really shaky, which either means she’s not used to those exercises or she is not properly engaging her muscles.”
“Anyway, it’s not a good workout,” the user concluded after raising concerns on the IGTV upload, which has since been removed.
“This is terrible,” they said. “Hire a qualified PT or Fitness Instructor who can demonstrate how to perform the exercises correctly.”
“People who are new to exercise may injure them selves copying this,” the social media user went on. “This video is irresponsible and potentially dangerous. You need to do better.”
Other viewers said Missguided should have collaborated with a more qualified fitness professional.
“Why not do a activewear collab with an ACTUAL fitness influencer there’s so many amazing ones out there…what a waste of time,” another follower slammed. “Poor thing’s form isn’t even right.” [sic]
