The daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex – Lady Louise – was one of Tatler’s top 10 most eligible people in Britain in 2021, featuring in the Little Black Book last November. Just seven-years-old when she walked down the aisle after Kate Middleton in 2011, now 18, the 16th in line to the throne is a long way from floral crowns and satin slippers. The young royal, who still lives at home, grew up at Bagshot Park in Windsor, largely keeping out of the spotlight bar on important royal occasions, such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service, which took place in March. Lady Louise is currently sitting her A-Levels (in English, drama, history and politics) at St Mary’s Ascot, a stone’s throw from her royal residence. The young equestrian enthusiast appears to have inherited her grandmother’s passion for horses, and regularly competes in the carriage racing division at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
