What’s the plot?
Based on the bestselling debut novel of Delia Owens, the film will follow the story of Kya, a beautiful and intelligent girl in the Deep South of 1950s America who is abandoned by her family and forced to raise herself in the wild. With no schooling and limited social interactions, Kya develops an intense knowledge of the natural world around her, and soon attracts the attention of two boys. When one of her ex-boyfriends is found dead, possibly murdered, she becomes a suspect, but was she really involved?
