Indulge in botanical-inspired treats served with an arrangement of fresh flowers at the new Floral Weekend Afternoon Tea by Nicolai Bergmann, celebrity florist and Floral Art Director at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore.
Well known for his flower boxes and unique style that blends Scandinavian and Japanese design, Nicolai Bergmann is a recognised name in Japan and Seoul that is synonymous with sophisticated floral arrangements and unparalleled artistry. His expert touch makes the afternoon tea an exceptionally beautiful one.
Available on weekends from now till June, the elegant tea is served at Garden@One-Ninety, the hotel’s breezy alfresco terrace filled with lush greenery that is an extension of the One-Ninety Bar. The most visually stunning part of the photogenic spread is the arrangement of sweets served on a vessel surrounded by a hand-arranged wreath of fresh flowers and dramatic flowing fog from dry ice.
Delight in the floral flavours of dainty desserts by the hotel’s pastry chef Audrey Yee like the fragrant Pu-Er Tea-infused Mandarin Crémeux, Osmanthus-Peach Puff and Elderflower-Lemon Panna Cotta. Alongside the sweets is a selection of sandwiches with fillings like Truffle and Portobello Mushroom all topped with colourful mini flowers and herbs.
After diners are done with these sweets and savouries, the kitchen sends out freshly baked Vanilla and Blackcurrant Scones, accompanied by homemade Lemon Balm Curd, Strawberry-Rose Preserve and Devonshire Clotted Cream.
To complete the experience, sip on a trinity of floral-inspired craft cocktails by Bar Manager Gabriel Carlos and Head Bartender Sophia Kang served in dainty glass teapots topped with fresh herbs and flowers. Our favourite of the three cocktails is the fresh, and floral gin-based Hanami.
While a selection of teas is available, the floral and buttery Pink Rose and Marigold Tea was specially curated for this season and complements the afternoon tea well with is delicate nose and mild, sweet flavour.
