Spread the love

Things They Don’t Tell You is a weekly online column that dives deep into the lives of Prestige 40 Under 40 class of 2020 laureates, where they share little-known stories and offer insights on things that go under-the-radar. This week, we get candid with Ho Renyung, Vice-President of Brand HQ at Banyan Tree Holdings.

I started doing what I’m doing now by following my gut and heart, and staying curious.

My greatest achievement, professionally, is to see other people around me align their personal motivations and dreams to their professional trajectory.

I’m passionate about making things better.

Right now, I’m inspired by Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand’s Prime Minister.

I’m good at connecting the dots, and with people. I think I have too many weaknesses to name.

“Mama, love” is one of the best things I’ve heard.

I’m almost sick of hearing about Trump.

God forgive me, but allow me to forgive myself.

Fear is in the eye of the beholder.

Compassion starts with ourselves, and just sitting in silence. With a tree.

I’d tell my younger self, “you’re going to die sooner than you think.”

Being present makes me feel good.

Failure is giving up before you really choose to.

Life changes.

It is so important to be able to be grounded.

Singapore is courageous. I want her to be.
