Spread the love

If you haven’t already seen the wave of Spring/Summer 2020 runway shows in the past few months, here’s your chance for a recap. Basically, it’s gotten us very excited for the new year. Perhaps it’s a sign of optimism and joy about what’s to come in 2020, but Spring/Summer 2020 is possibly one of the biggest, brightest, and most colourful seasons we’ve seen in a while. We’ve seen Marc Jacobs splashing even more pop colours onto his preppy grunge looks, and even Coach — usually more neutral in tones — has fully embraced the season of bold hues and graphics. As the 2010s come to a close, the search is on to find what the next decade’s central theme will be in fashion. Having watched all the splendour and vibrancy of the Spring/Summer 2020 fashion shows last month, it seems nothing stands out as much as playfulness. After a decade of political challenges, uncertainties, and economic pressures, maybe fashion is just trying to offer the world a little relief — and a little fabulousness.

Here are the Spring/Summer 2020 collections we’re most looking forward to shopping when they land early next year.

Givenchy

The master of leather and sharp silhouettes, Givenchy are rolling out some futuristic bandeaus, matching tube skirts, and sleek mules to ensure you start the year already ahead of the style game.

Chloé

With new graphic tees, slit skirts, and chunky leather boots, Chloé seems to be toughening up for the spring next year, whilst still managing to keep their signature feminine silhouettes and charm. We’re all for it.

Marc Jacobs

Grungy and fabulous is the theme for Marc Jacob‘s Spring/Summer 2020 collection. With all its popsicle colours, 80s sass, and exciting materials (hello silk turquoise trousers!), we’re happy to start the year a little broke if only to add these pieces to our spring wardrobes.

Dries Van Noten

Luxurious yet relaxed, lavish yet effortless — Dries Van Noten is always a good idea. For Spring/Summer 2020, they’re bringing out the embellishments with tropical themes animal prints.

Coach

Previously steadfast in maintaining a palette of beiges, browns, and creams, Coach has surrendered to the spring world of bright colours and funky prints. And boy will it be worth it.

Stella McCartney

A collection full of total looks and all-in-one pieces, Stella McCartney will be making our lives a lot easier (and a lot more effortlessly stylish) for 2020.
