For the last two decades, Emily Todhunter and Katie Earle’s eponymous design studio has become a byword for chic, smart interiors. With famously exacting clients on both sides of the Atlantic – including Raymond Blanc and Anouska Hempel – the duo are renowned for their passion, professionalism and dedication to the cause. Supremely well-connected Todhunter (who was quite the It girl in the 1980s) made her name designing the Upper East Side homes of anglophile Americans and ex-pat Brits in the 1990s, becoming a champion of the Chelsea-look, before recruiting business partner Earle in 1998. Now, they are releasing a new coffee table tome, Modern English: Todhunter Earle Interiors, profiling 18 private house projects for the first time. Brilliantly brought to life with watercolour illustrations by Marianne Topham, it’s an inspirational guide on how to transform your space – whether it’s a country house, townhouse, ski chalet or superyacht…
