Cosmopolitan yet with a distinct Japanese spirit, House is a boutique lounge for those who appreciate understated luxury and subtle sophistication. A contemporary space designed for intimate gatherings and quiet solitude alike, it is a stage for showcasing an exquisite collection of sakes, from “La Isojiman” Junmai Daijingyo to the Ohmine x Sake Storm Cowboy Natural Press. The spirit selection is no less impressive: one simply needs to step into the bar to behold a splendid range of Japanese whiskies — the likes of Yamazaki 18 year-old and the Hibiki 21 year-old — lined up at the bar, alongside Macallans and Samarolis.
Augmenting the list are craft cocktails incorporating premium drops from the finest Japanese distilleries. Think Nihon, a martini built with Isle of Harris Gin, Junmai Ginjo and Sakura Bitters; and Mountain Forest, a golden blend of Hakushu Distillery Reserve and Umami Bitters. There is also a Premium Classics range, featuring the likes of an inspired Old Fashioned crafted with Yamazaki 12 year-old, Hanoki Bitters and Japanese Red Sugar.
They have a curated menu of bar bites, prepared within the establishment’s very own kitchen. Snack on a simple yet well-executed snack of roasted Roasted Marcona Almonds with Smoked Salt, and an umami-packed dish of Tatami Iwashi with Togarashi Mayo; or sink your teeth to a sophisticated assembly of shatteringly crisp monaka sandwiching Negitoro, Ikura and Avocado.
