It was a natural progression when, all those years ago, Ralph Lauren collaborated with the event. Having become synonymous with the royalty-adored sport of polo, the summer competition in the heart of Wimbledon Village was next on Lauren’s hit list of brilliantly British affairs. The American king of cool casuals was making a splash on this side of the pond and has remained paramount to the event ever since.

‘This is a special year for the All England Club as we mark the centenary of Centre Court on Church Road. To coincide with this milestone, we are delighted that all our on-court officials, ball boys and girls will be wearing newly designed uniforms produced by our partner, Polo Ralph Lauren. Given our organization’s commitment to be Environment Positive by 2030, it is fantastic to see Polo Ralph Lauren is prioritizing environmental sustainability in the production of the on-court uniforms for Wimbledon,’ says Gus Henderson, Commercial Director at Wimbledon.

The Duchess of Sussex, 2018

The label is popular off the courts at the event, too. In 2018, the Duchess of Sussex tucked her blue-and-white striped shirt into white flared trousers as she sat next to the Duchess of Cambridge in the royal box. Emma Watson kept it minimal in beige shirt dress and leather belt that same year, and in 2021 Sienna Miller wowed the crowds in another stripey tailored number.
