The style game of ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ star continues to be on point.
Anya Taylor-Joy is on a roll. After snagging a Golden Globe last month
for playing Beth Harmon in the wildly successful Netflix miniseries The Queen’s
Gambit, she took home a Critic’s Choice Award for the same role a couple of
But the 24-year-old actress hasn’t just been gaining traction for her
scintillating turn as a chess prodigy, she’s also been catching the attention of
many for her stunning looks on and off the red carpet. (Although, to be fair, the styling of the
character Tayloy-Joy plays was impeccable in itself.)
Over the years, the Argentine-Brit has had been photographed in ensembles
that represent a varied style POV befitting a young celebrity. She’s been seen
in anywhere from Burberry layers, Alexander McQueen dresses, Chanel sets, Gucci
gowns, and even Schiaparelli jumpsuits.
Feeling her best
At the 78th Golden Globe Awards, Taylor-Joy came out in a show-stopping
Emerald Dior Haute Couture number. The look was put together by Law Roach, the “Image
Architect” and Legendary judge, who the actress describes as
her “fairy godfather.”
Roach was also responsible for her most recent look at the 26th Critics’
Choice Awards, which was held on March 7 at the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport. Taylor-Joy wore a tulle Dior
ballgown that was draped and twisted around her, whose berry hue complimented
her mannequin-like visage.
What brought the whole thing together, however, were the colorful
baubbles she had courtesy of Bulgari. The actress had over 90 carats of the Italian
luxury brand’s high jewelry tanzanite earrings to accept her award, which she
did so from London.
Adorning her right hand is Bulgari’s Divas’s Dream in pink gold,
which is set with pink sapphire and diamonds. She thanked both Roach and the
brand for “making a girl feel her best” for the night.
We can’t wait for this young woman’s next look.
