SINGAPORE: Singapore on Tuesday (Jul 26) reported one more case of monkeypox infection, bringing the total number of cases in the country since June to 10.
The patient is a 28-year-old Taiwanese man who lives in Singapore and recently returned from Canada, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) in an update on its website.
He first developed symptoms on Jul 22, including a fever, headache, muscle aches and pain. He subsequently also developed a rash, said MOH.
The man sought medical attention on Tuesday and was admitted to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases the same day, said the ministry.
He is in stable condition and contact tracing is ongoing.
The man’s infection is not linked to any of the earlier monkeypox cases.
