Singapore Airlines (SIA) has rolled out complimentary unlimited in-flight wifi for all business class customers, as well as its PPS Club members and PPS Club supplementary card holders.

In addition, KrisFlyer members can now enjoy three hours of free wifi when travelling in premium economy and two hours of free wifi in economy.

SIA has also launched updated wifi pricing plans for non-KrisFlyer members, or those who reach the limit of the complimentary plans.

Package options include US$3.99 (£3.25) for one hour, US$8.99 (£7.30) for three hours, or US$15.99 (£13) for the entire flight.

The new wifi service will be implemented across the whole fleet of A380s, A350s, B777-300ERs, B787-10s and B737-8s. The only exception will be routes served by SIA’s B737-800s, as these aircraft do not support wifi.

SIA wifi 2023

The move follows a trial launched by SIA last year to offer unlimited wifi to first and suites passengers, which is now a permanent feature, with business class and PPS members receiving up to 100MB of complimentary wifi.

According to the airline, it is one of the first to offer complimentary unlimited wifi across its passenger network.

Mr Yeoh Phee Teik, senior vice president customer experience, Singapore Airlines, said: “Staying connected, even at 35,000 feet in the air, has become an essential aspect of the travel experience. With our enhanced wifiofferings, SIA’s customers can stay in touch with their loved ones, post photos and videos on their social media channels, or keep updated on the latest news.

“These changes are in response to customer feedback, and part of SIA’s continuous investment to enhance their travel experience and maintain our leadership position.”
