What We’re Saying: It’s no secret that Lanvin’s 1990s/2000s skate-inspired sneaker, the Curb, takes design cues from an unforgettable shoe from that era, the Osiris D3. And while the overall silhouette closely resembles the old school Osiris model, the Curb now intensifies the likeness by implementing the most popular D3 colorway, all-black.
Recently popping up at authorized Lanvin provider Concepts, we find the Curb done up in the always-in-demand triple black look. With a price tag of $890, the material execution should be nothing short of top notch, as the chunky sneaker is predominantly constructed from luxe nappa calfskin leather, suede, and mesh. The rounded shape of the shoe, in addition to the padded tongue and fatter-than-fat laces, are all indicative of skate shoes from the ’90s and ’00s. Those thick laces are held in place by curved metallic eyelets that further point to the shoe’s premium build.
If you’re looking to add skater chic to your style portfolio, pick up the triple black Lanvin Curb by following the link below. And yes, it’s okay to blast Avril Lavigne’s “Sk8er Boi” during the checkout process.
