Whether it’s essentially taking Indian students in Kharkov hostage for use as human shields or trying to trigger a nuclear meltdown at the continent’s largest such power plant, Kiev’s fascist-nationalist forces will stop at nothing to provoke an apocalyptic Russian-NATO war, though hopefully the heroes from the Russian Armed Forces will continue to successfully avert every attempt.

All conflicts have heroes, and Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine is no exception. The Russian Armed Forces (RAF) saved Europe late last week by stopping Kiev’s nuclear power plant provocation. A sabotage group attacked the RAF near the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant, the largest in Europe, in order to prompt a retaliatory response. They then set fire to its training facility as they fled, though this was thankfully extinguished. Russian Ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebenzya clarified the sequence of events by explaining how his country wasn’t responsible for a so-called “nuclear provocation”, but literally saved Europe from the one that was just attempted by Kiev’s fascist-nationalist forces.

The diplomat was prompted to discuss the issue at his global podium after the US went wild following its proxies’ nuclear provocation. The US Embassy in Ukraine’s official Twitter account described Russia’s actions in saving the continent as a so-called “war crime” that “takes [President Putin’s] reign of terror one step further”, concluding their pertinent post with #TheHague. Nevertheless, foreign agent-designated Voice of America quoted an unnamed senior US defense official that same day who confirmed that “We do not assess any radioactive leakage”, meaning that Kiev’s nuclear provocation failed because Moscow did indeed just save Europe from catastrophe.

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolay Azarov assessed that this incident was staged precisely to create the pretext for the US-led West to impose a so-called “no-fly zone” in Ukraine that would require conventionally engaging Russian forces there and thus violating the red line that President Putin warned about in his 24 February address to the nation announcing his country’s special operation. The Russian leader confirmed the day after on Saturday that the RAF would immediately regard all countries in that scheme as participants in the conflict and react accordingly out of self-defense. It’s thus not without reason that the Russian Foreign Minister concluded that Kiev wants to provoke a Russian-NATO war.

President Putin is keenly aware of that worst-case scenario as well as the total irresponsibility of his Ukrainian counterpart Zelensky even attempting to do this, not to mention via his fascist-nationalist forces’ failed nuclear provocation late last week. That might be why he warned on Saturday that “if they continue to do what they are doing – I have already said this too – they will call into question the very future of Ukrainian statehood. And if this happens, it will be entirely on them.” The Russian leader is likely alluding to how the end of Lenin’s unnatural mini-empire might be drawing near if its multisided identity conflicts are exacerbated throughout the course of the current conflict.

Nobody should have any doubt that the campaign won’t stop until Ukraine is successfully denazified and demilitarized since these two interconnected objectives are of supreme importance for Russia’s national security red lines in that neighboring former Soviet Republic. Kiev is indisputably losing since otherwise it wouldn’t be begging thousands of foreign mercenaries to spill into the country to aid its retreating forces, nor would CNN whitewash this call for war by misleading folks to their doom by promoting this propaganda without including any mention of the attendant risks. Desperate people do desperate things, as they say, and nothing is more desperate than staging a nuclear provocation.

Whichever side of the conflict one supports, there should be a universal consensus that those members of the RAF who just saved the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant are heroes. Russia wasn’t the one trying to stage a nuclear provocation, it was literally putting its servicemembers in harm’s way in order to avoid the same one that Kiev’s fascist-nationalist forces were trying to provoke. Nobody should fool themselves into thinking that the RAF lack the capability to cause a nuclear meltdown at that facility if they really wanted to. The very fact that one didn’t happen following their decisive intervention after the staged firefight is a testimony to their success in averting this catastrophe.

If this incident is a sign of what’s to come, then it suggests that Kiev’s US-backed fascist-nationalist forces will likely continue staging similar such false flag provocations in an attempt to implicate Russia so as to prompt the West into more directly intervening on its side during that country’s ongoing special operation there. In other words, whether it’s essentially taking Indian students in Kharkov hostage for use as human shields or trying to trigger a nuclear meltdown at the continent’s largest such power plant, Kiev’s fascist-nationalist forces will stop at nothing to provoke an apocalyptic Russian-NATO war, though hopefully the heroes from the RAF will continue to successfully avert every attempt.
