Earlier yesterday, on the second day of their visit, Letizia and her husband attended an official welcoming ceremony for their state visit at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, alongside the Swedish royals. Once again, Letizia pulled out all the stops in an eye-catching red dress with a headpiece to match. To keep warm, she wore a cape with a fur trip, both by Carolina Herrera. As well as a procession, Queen Letizia was shown the royal stables and their first-rate horses, accompanied by Queen Silvia in a fuchsia coat dress and matching hat.

On arrival in Sweden, Letizia and Felipe went straight to their residence at the embassy of Spain to speak with Spanish residents living in the country. The Spanish community in Sweden has grown at a sustained rate in the last decade, and up to 37.12 per cent in five years, as Spaniards emigrate to take advantage of job opportunities.
