Brooke Vincent has confirmed she’s having a baby boy as she prepares to welcome her second child.
Coronation Street star Brooke, 28, who is already mum to 15-month-old son Mexx with partner Kean Bryan, revealed the news during an Instagram Q+A.
When a follower asked if she will be finding out the baby’s gender, Brooke, who previously confessed she cried as she waved Mexx off on his first day of nursery, confirmed she is expecting another son.
She wrote: “We did. We are having another boy.”

She explained: “We never found out with Mexx & this time we just said why not. To be honest I’ve enjoyed both pregnancy’s with having found out and not. [sic]
“It’s nice to know I’m having a boy and he will be so close in age to Mexx hopefully they will be little besties,” alongside a love heart emoji.
When another fan asked why she wanted to find out the gender this time, Brooke admitted it was a last minute decision.
She said: “We was literally on our way to our 20 week scan and I just said shall we find out,” alongside two laughing face emojis.
“@kean8 panicked & got dramatic and said he needed time & I can’t just spring that onto him. We then spent the journey going through the pros and cons and when she asked we just said yes!
“It was nice to be honest and also made both pregnancy journeys different.”
Brooke announced she was pregnant with her second child in an exclusive interview with OK! magazine.
The actress, who is due in spring, said: “It’s a little bit different with your second because you know what’s coming.
“When I was pregnant with Mexx, it was just a massive shock to the system and I was tired all the time and didn’t understand why, whereas now, I know what’s going on and I’ve been getting on with it a bit more.
“I don’t really have the time to be saying, ‘I’m so tired!’ because I’ve got another baby to look after.”
Brooke previously revealed the couple were not going to find out the baby’s gender. “We’re not going to find out. We want to keep it as a surprise,” she said.
However, she admitted she didn’t mind what she had, as long as the baby is healthy.
When asked if she would like a girl, Brooke said: “Everyone says this, but I think it’s more magnified when you’re actually having a baby that you just want them to be healthy, so I really don’t mind.
“I didn’t mind with Mexx, either. I’m happy with whatever I’m given. Mexx is the best little thing in the world so if I get another boy, fabulous, if I get a girl and she’s like me, then we’re going to have chaos!”
