There’s a lot you can do with USD$ 48,000 – you could open up a new business, buy a new house, set-up your kids’ college fund, or, you can book a night at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo and get the Princess Grace Suite.

Starting February this year, you can officially spend that big chunk in one go by booking one of the most exclusive and most expensive suites on the French Riviera.

The Princess Grace Suite pays tribute to Grace Kelly, who left her mark on the history of the principality, and the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo through her elegance, refinement and generosity.

She’s a celebrated American movie icon, who became royalty when she wed Monaco’s Prince Rainier circa 1956.

The exceptional 2-storey, 910-square-metre suite boasts a refined, modern decor and spectacular terraces offering a 180° view of the Mediterranean. With its elegant curves and pure lines, the Princess Grace Suite is the epitome of sophisticated contemporary design, featuring transparency and precious materials.

Princess Grace and Prince Rainier’s son, Prince Albert, is said to have been closely involved with the suite’s design process. The exclusive suite is filled with memories of his mother, who died in 1982.

Photographs of Princess Grace from the palace archives can be found in the rooms. It also displays the princess’s work and her personal souvenirs including her favourite poems and books.

And because the suite is meant for the jet-set and the elite, it offers guests the ultimate luxury treatment.

Meet and greet is provided at the airport or heliport, guests are provided with a private in-suite reception and concierge service, luxury amenities and accessories in the suite are renewed daily, and there’s also a personalized welcome gift for its guests, among other spoils that you could think of.

The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo was opened in 1863.

Princess Grace and Prince Rainier were married there, and other elite guests include the likes of Rita Hayworth and Cary Grant, to contemporary music icons such as Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

Feeling like royalty? Shell out USD$ 48,000 and you could spend the night in the illustrious five-star gem.
