The centrepiece, however, is the private lesson with Nacho and fellow polo player Melissa Ganzi, who made history this year as the first international woman to play polo in Saudi Arabia.
Under the guidance of Nacho and Ganzi, the VIP recipient and up to 11 guests will be tutored in the sport at the members-only Aspen Valley Polo Club, where Prince Harry and Nacho played alongside Ganzi’s son, Grant, at the Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup.
The charity tournament, which was this year attended by Tatler, benefits Sentebale, the organisation he co-founded with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006 to help children in Africa affected by poverty, inequality, HIV/AIDS and, more recently, Covid-19.
The Ganzi family opened the Aspen Valley Polo Club in 2014 and now have a total of four polo fields in the area, including three in Aspen. The family were originally restaurateurs (they owned the now shuttered Palm Restaurant chain) but have branched out into private equity mainly and telecommunications.
In addition to Aspen’s billionaire residents, visitors can expect to bump into A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio and Katy Perry who have holidayed in Aspen, drawn by the natural beauty and eateries like The White House Tavern (opt for the burger).
