Italian designer brand Missoni has partnered with Maldives luxury all-villa resort One&Only Reethi Rah with a takeover of the resort’s One&Only Beach Club, set to last all of 2023.
Missoni has established a branded pop-up store and customizations across the resort since the partnership first launched on December 20, with the fashion brand’s bright colors and trademark zigzag patterns adorning the Beach Club’s loungers, cabanas, parasols, beach towels and even the DJ booth.
Whilst the majority of Missoni’s presence will be felt at the Beach Club, guests can look forward to reclining and dining on the iconic zigzags with various Missoni fabrics and furnishings also being dispersed in the resort’s One&Only Reethi Rah Treehouse, the Grand Residence, the Grand Sunset Residence and even a few of the Grand Water Villas.

Using a palette of brilliant turquoise, deep blues, pure white and exotic greens, Missoni has clearly been inspired by the natural island beauty of One&Only Reethi Rah, in which the white sand, swaying palm trees and azure Indian Ocean have rendered the Maldives one of the most popular tourist destinations across the globe.
Designed by creative director of Missoni’s home collection Alberto Caliri, Missoni revolutionized the way we wear knitwear by introducing radical new ideas, such as crochet tracksuits, to the world. A favorite of American Vogue in the 1970s, the magazine wrote one could “depend on Missoni to give you a sweater you never possessed.”

With the 1970s aesthetic back in fashion today, the kaleidoscopic colors and subtly kitsch detailing of Missoni renders this partnership particularly unmissable.
Not that we ever need an excuse to visit a One&Only resort, of course. The ultra-luxury collection of resorts encompasses 11 countries, including Mauritius, Mexico, South Africa and Rwanda, successfully working with the local community to create an informed authentic hotel experience for guests. Guests also enjoy luxury yacht transfers, a personal concierge and an on-call private chef.
