Did you know: in Hong Kong we throw away 5-6 million plastic bottles every day? When stacked, this is 2200x the height of ICC. #startsmallstartnow
Free and easy to use, Hong Kong based NGO, EcoDrive, has launched ‘My Impact‘, an app that tracks the efforts you make to reduce single-use plastic – but in a fun and innovative way. Conceived in support of its ongoing #EnoughPlastic 2021 campaign, app users are able to “visualise the impact of their positive actions” and stay motivated to keep up their sustainable efforts.

To begin using the app, simple create an account and start inputting your habits – Refuse, Reuse & Recycle. The app will log your effots for you in one easy-to-use function, while also visually showing you how even the smallest changes can make a big impact. Unlock milestones, earn awards and add friends and family for a competitive edge – whilst also encouraging others to do their part!
The “Discover” section is an opportunity to keep up to date with eco news and events happening in your area. Whether this be beach clean-ups or new recycling initiative, its packed full of tips to help reduce your carbon foot print. My Impact will also be getting a major update in July to include a “Community” feature. This will allow users to combine their efforts, whether in the workplace or school. Confirmed corporations include Allen & Overy, KPMG and CBRE, to name a few.
My Impact is available in all regions on iOS and Android, in English and Chinese. Download the app here.
