Luminox has once again partnered with survival expert and television presenter Bear Grylls on the creation of another series of outstanding timepieces. Luminox Eco Series watches are inspired by the need to protect the environment. After seeing first-hand the impact plastic has had on our environment, Bear Grylls understands the importance of preserving nature not only for others but for the future of humanity. Cleaning out our waterways, beaches and forests is one of the most important ways we can help ourselves to thrive going forward. In order to do their part, the Luminox Eco Series watches have become the brand’s first fully sustainable timepiece.

The case, the strap and the bezel are made from 100% recycled materials. In addition to Bear Grylls, Luminox has collaborated with #tide. The material used to create the watches is created by #Tide. It is made from recycled plastic spun into yarn found and sorted by fishermen from five islands in the Andaman Sea. Recently #tide released a new product to utilize more recycled plastic: a 3D filament.

As mentioned above, the case, bezel and strap of the TIDE Eco Series watch are made of 100% recycled materials. The slightly transparent grey case measures 46 mm in diameter. The blue textile strap is comfortable, durable and nicely complements the textured blue dial. The dial itself is protested by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, which increases the durability of the timepiece. Ensuring you’re never left unprepared, the watch also features Luminox’s patented Light Technology, guaranteeing the watch will continue glowing for up to 25 years. A date aperture is placed at the 3 o’clock position. The model is powered by a quartz movement. It’s also water-resistant up to 20 bars or 200 meters.
