From ring shopping to enjoying a pre-wedding pamper with your bridal party, Selfridges has long been associated with weddings. But now, the luxury department store has responded to the lockdown love boom by launching its very own one-of-a-kind wedding service.

Opening this summer, for a limited time only, a luxurious Selfridges Wedding Suite will enable couples to say ‘I do’ inside its doors for the very first time. Nestled on the fourth floor, the intimate, unique and beautifully decorated space will offer micro-weddings for up to 20 guests, and promises magnificence to any couple after a non-traditional celebration.

There are three wedding packages on offer: the Just-The-Two-Of-Us wedding, the Earth-Lovers wedding and the All-Out Extraordinary wedding. Couples will be enticed with everything from a post-ceremony private champagne cinema, to an expert guide on vintage gown shopping, and a three-course feast at the store’s Art Deco – and society approved – restaurant, Brasserie of Light.

‘We’re driven by making our customers’ worlds brighter through unforgettable experiences,’ says Rebecca Warbuton, Selfridges’ Director of Events & Customer Experiences. ‘For those looking for a truly unique way to get married this summer, we’re excited to launch weddings at Selfridges. Bringing together some of our amazing experiences, we can’t wait to create custom packages in celebration of people’s love for each other.’

With the wedding plans of over 150,000 couples affected by the pandemic, Selfridges hopes its chic space will help newly engaged couples beat the blues of booked-up venues, while offering them an exclusively chic city alternative.
