Further reports say that ever since Lisa became global ambassador, Celine’s revenue in South Korea increased by 19% in the first half of 2022.
In addition to that, the brand has seen a 59% increase in sales in the Asia-Pacific region. This proves the girl group’s strong fanbase.
Lisa’s Partnership With Celine
Their partnership began back in 2020, when Lisa became the brand’s first global ambassador since Hedi Slimane took the helm.
“To me, Celine is unrivaled, and Hedi Slimane has such a multifaceted talent—from clothing design to photography,” the Thai idol said in an interview with Vogue.
“He creates this rare, incredible, and desirable world through his vision. I’m always inspired by his work. It’s truly an honor and pleasure to be able to work with Hedi as Celine’s first ambassador.”
Recently, Lisa made an appearance at Celine’s fall menswear show in Paris. Her all-black ensemble sparked the interest of many. Meanwhile, just the news of her arrival led to road closures to accommodate the idol and other guests.
K-pop’s Global Appeal
K-pop stars like Lisa have truly shown their mass appeal these past few years. Avery Booker, experienced in global luxury market forecasting, considers them “all-round entertainers.”
“They’re the Swiss Army knife of marketing because they can reach audiences in so many countries on all these different platforms.”
These idols are at the forefront of the Hallyu wave, with a hugely engaged global audience.
According to data from Lefty, Lisa’s Instagram account has an engagement rate of almost 10%. This factor lends to the success of her collaboration with Celine.
