At the heart of the hotel lies the spirit and charm of Lord Beaverbrook – press baron, wartime MP and all round socialite. Where the Surrey hotel was once his country abode, the new townhouse aims to channel his former Fulham residence where he hosted his illustrious friends including Ian Fleming, Sir Winston Churchill, Dame Elizabeth Taylor and Sir Laurence Olivier. Reigniting the buzz of the roaring twenties the 14 suites abound with art, antiques and theatrical references; each suite is named after a famous London theatre and decorated with clues from the playhouse’s past.

Amidst the vibrant London atmosphere that the townhouse exudes, an inviting cocktail culture prevails wrapped up in an air of elegance and mischief. There, some of the city’s most discerning crowds gather to meet. Seductive lighting and intimate corners within the confines of the ‘Sir Frank’ bar – try the beautifully presented Madame Butterfly – offer an atmosphere reminiscent of the Chinatown afterparties Lord Beaverbrook would attend after dinner at the Savoy.

The townhouse will inevitably become known for its wonderful Japanese restaurant, ‘The Fuji Grill’. There you will find an omakase bar which includes fermentation and foraging as key processes within the menu, making it most progressive indeed.
