Holly Willoughby has left her This Morning co-hosts and viewers in hysterics after comparing Welsh rarebit to Craig David.

The 39 year old was hosting the hit ITV daytime show alongside Phillip Schofield, 58, when she commented on the cooking segment.

Chef James Martin was in the kitchen to give his take on the cheese and bread dish when Holly made the bizarre comment.

James, 48, explained how versatile the dish was, and that it could be eaten multiple times a week after being cooked just once.

He explained to viewers: “The good thing about this, and the reason why I wanted to do it, is because you can make it on a Monday and it will last until the weekend.”

Referencing his 2000 number one hit single 7 Days, Holly quipped: “It’s like the Craig David of food.”

Phillip and James immediately burst out laughing, with the famous chef responding: “Exactly, thanks for that. It’ll do Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday.”

Another asked James, who hosts his own show Saturday Morning on ITV, if he was making chutney for his “Craig David cheese snacks.”

Holly looked as flawless as always as she hosted the show alongside Phillip on Monday morning, with her opting to wear a dreamy floral dress from high end brand Rixo.

The presenter finished the outfit off with some classy black court heels from none other than her go-to shoe brand, Gianvito Rossi.

Her latest outfit was another look that was a firm favourite with her fans.

Taking to her Instagram to share her usual sneak peek, one fan commented saying: “Morning Holly looking beautiful girl.”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
