Qatar Goodwood Festival has long been a firm favourite with racing enthusiasts, and its return this summer is set to be a shining highlight of the social season. What’s more, the beloved Markel Magnolia Cup, a charity race for trailblazing women across a number of industries, is back in all its glory, this year supporting The Prince’s Trust’s Brilliant Breakfast initiative.
Taking place on 28 July 2022, the Magnolia Cup will see women from across the worlds of business, sport, fashion and media, take to the track at one of the world’s most prestigious racecourses. This year’s lineup for the five-and-a-half-furlong race has just been announced, and consists of Gold medal-winning pentathlete Kate French; Fiona Litchfield, a Royal Military Police officer, soldier, cyber crime expert and Operations Manager at the Met Police; Rosie Brandreth-Poynter, a vet and former Great British Bake Off contestant; lifestyle and fashion journalist Kim Parker; Hayley Edgar, former General Manager at the Sussex Food Company; Ranee James, a student, showjumper and Ambassador for the Urban Equestrian Academy; Olivia Kimber, a dance teacher and multiple sclerosis sufferer; E-scooter racer, model and LGBTQIA+ advocate, Jordan Rand; influencer and writer, Lucy Robinson; sports presenter Rachel Stringer; and Ashleigh Wicheard, a work rider at Neil Mulholland Racing.
